Senior Occupational Therapist (Clinical) Statewide, Disability, Inclusion and Student Services Education (Organisation site ( Inclusion & Student Services, Early Childhood and State Schools Division
As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Clinical) - Statewide, you will be responsible for leading and conducting specialised projects and support in the area of occupational therapy clinical practice education for occupational therapy students from tertiary institutions and providing support and mentoring to OTs across the state to supervise high quality clinical practice education placements within the DoE OT service context.
You will also maintain a defined proportion of OT service clinical caseload with schools and students with disability within your geographical location.
This role will be supervised by the Senior Advisor Occupational Therapy.

About the Role:
This is a permanent position, location would be negotiated with successful applicant.
Responsibilities include:
Provide professional advice to the Statewide Clinical Manager, Senior and Supervisory OTs and departmental school based OTs on preparing, constructing, supervising and evaluating high quality university student placements.
Identify the needs specific to school based OTs in the area of clinical practice education, and provide evidence based resources and support to occupational therapists to engage in and sustain practice education supervision within their role.
Provide expert advice and mentoring to OTs across the state in the area of contemporary occupational therapy clinical practice education.
Lead and conduct specialised projects and innovative research activities relating to occupational therapy clinical practice education.
Collaboration with OTs and other professional groups and stakeholders in developing and promoting OT clinical practice education placements in DoE.
