The Department of Health currently has multiple fixed-term and permanent vacancies available for Senior Occupational Therapists to join the team, based in Cambridge, 15 minutes from Hobart's CBD. As a member of this pivotal team, the Senior OT will undertake specialised Occupational Therapy clinical assessment and treatment; provide clinical direction, support, and resource development for the specialised clinical areas to level 1-2 occupational therapists; and assist with the development of the occupational therapy service through planning, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, research activities, and clinical placements for undergraduate students.
The role: Senior Occupational Therapist with the team. Become a part of the largest OT department in Tasmania. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, your role includes providing direct clinical care, as well as supervision of allied health assistants and students, and participation in quality improvement activities. This role delivers Geriatric Evaluation and Management in client's homes. The multidisciplinary office is at Cambridge Park (free parking) with travel in the greater Hobart area using a work vehicle. We are seeking multiple full-time or part-time Senior Occupational Therapists. Weekend work is available, but not compulsory.

Details of Appointment: 1 x Permanent, part-time, day worker position working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
1 x Fixed-term, full-time, shift worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for up to 12 months.
* Notwithstanding, hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed-term full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 (pro-rata) per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
