Senior Network Specialist

This role will involve providing general network administration support and backfilling resources.
It's a 12 months hourly rate contract opportunity based in Adelaide, SA.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level network administration and support for Cisco Route/Switch infrastructure.
Manage Cisco ACI within data center environments.
Administer Palo Alto Firewalls and Citrix Netscaler Load Balancers.
Support Cisco Wireless Networking (desirable).
Ensure adherence to network security best practices.
Key Skills & Experience:
Strong experience in Cisco Route/Switch network administration.
Good understanding and experience with Cisco ACI in data center settings.
Proven experience with Palo Alto Firewall and Citrix Netscaler Load Balancer Familiarity with Cisco Wireless Networking (desirable).
Solid knowledge of network security Key Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science, or working towards them, with extensive relevant experience.
Extensive experience in network management.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education/training will be considered.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in higher education.
Relevant Cisco certifications .
Special Conditions:
Standard 8-hour workday/40-hour workweek.
Bring your own laptop.
Minimum of 2 days per week on-site, as agreed with the Hiring Manager.
Participation in a rotating on-call roster, including after-hours and weekends, is required.
There is a mandatory shutdown period during December and January - agreed dates will be provided.
