Senior Network Security Technician

10 months plus extensions Based in Canberra, ACT or Sydney, NSW Must be an Australian Citizen with a minimum NV2 Clearance We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Technician for our Defence client in Canberra or Sydney locations.
This role will require previous Defence experience.
You will have: Experience working in Defence as a Senior Network Security Technician.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in applying cyber-security controls and practices aligned to zero-trust architecture principles.
Demonstrated experience working with Security products in the following Cyber areas: Network Security including Firewalls and NAC, Security monitoring, Network automation, Logging and Auditing.
Demonstrated experience developing, building and operating technical solutions using Fortinet, Ansible, and Cisco products.
Strong knowledge of Nutanix, VMWare, and hypervisor.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; good communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Powershell.
Experience with Australian Defence Force deployed environments/platforms and the unique networking, support, and security constraints.
Knowledge of the following frameworks and standards: Australian Information Security Manual (ISM) US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Knowledge and experience of the SEA2273 Minerva systems.
