Job Description Our client in ACT, QLD, SA, VIC seeks the services of Senior Network Engineering Expert with NV1 clearance.
Overview of Proposed Services The key function is to design, build and support data centre network, mainframe, midrange, server, desktop, security and network infrastructure capabilities both in house and in a shared service arrangement.
Senior Infrastructure Engineering Experts are accountable for the management of the organisation's network infrastructure including WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewalls, routers, and switches, as well as the computing infrastructure including data centre, mainframe, midrange, server, and desktop.
Primary Knowledge/Skills/Systems/Tools required for role include: Cisco network F5 Products Palo Alto Firewalls Infoblox DNS Solutions Linux Administration Web Proxy Selection Criteria Mandatory Criteria:
A current security clearance of at least Negative Vetting Level 1.
At least five (5) years demonstrated experience in the design, management, and maintenance of large scale data centre networking environment.
Experience in the development of network high-level designs and detailed designs.
Ability to articulate detail through design and implementation plans.
Highly developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Weighted Criteria:
Demonstrated experience with solid knowledge in design and configuration of Networking, Wireless LAN, Software Defined Network.
Demonstrated experience in the design and integration of enterprise network.
Demonstrated experience in implementing, configuring and maintaining network devices including Cisco Catalyst, Nexus Switches, Cisco ACI, F5 Load balancers, DNS, network proxy and network firewalls.
Expertise in dynamic routing protocols, particularly EIGRP, OSPF & BGP.
Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of system architecture and design documentation.
Experience using network management software and tools to investigate and diagnose network problems, collect performance statistics and create reports.
Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual and Essential Eight.
Additional Information Length of Contract: 1 December 2024 – 30 November 2025 with 24 months possible extension.
