They will be accountable for the management of the organisations network infrastructure including WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewalls, routers, and switches and the computing infrastructure including data centre, mainframe, midrange, server, and desktop.
Senior Infrastructure Engineering Experts operate with a significant degree of independence and works under the broad guidance of a National Manager to deliver quality outcomes.
They operate with a high level of autonomy, with decision-making highly dependent on their own judgement.
In performing a leadership role, Senior Infrastructure Experts identify and drive innovation, manage and lead change, and have an active role in contributing to, and implementing the agency's strategic direction.
Mandatory Criteria At least five years demonstrated experience in the design, management and maintenance of large scale data centre networking environment.
Experience in the development of network high-level designs and detailed designs.
Ability to articulate detail through design and implementation plans.
High developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience with solid knowledge in design and configuration of Networking, Wireless LAN, Software Define Network.
Demonstrated experience in the design and integration of enterprise network.
Demonstrated experience in implementing, configuring and maintaining network devices including Cisco Catalyst, Nexus Switches, Cisco ACI, F5 Load balancers, DNS, network proxy and network firewalls.
Expertise in dynamic routing protocols, particularly EIGRP, OSPF & BGP.
Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual and Essential Eight.
