The Senior Network Engineer at I-MED is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the network infrastructure to protect digital assets and ensure network integrity.
This role involves developing and maintaining firewall policies, monitoring and responding to security incidents, and collaborating with IT departments to deploy effective firewall solutions.
Key duties include conducting network audits, performing risk assessments, and implementing advanced security measures.
The engineer also stays updated with security trends, maintains relationships with external vendors, and plays a crucial role in improving network and firewall systems to mitigate risks and maintain a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design & Implementation: Lead the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure, recommending improvements for performance and scalability.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Resolve complex network issues, monitor performance, and proactively identify potential problems.
Network Security: Implement security protocols, conduct audits, ensure compliance, and respond to security incidents.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed network documentation and provide performance reports with improvement recommendations.
Collaboration & Support: Work with IT teams to ensure smooth operations and mentor junior engineers.
Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute network upgrades and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption and up-to-date systems.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and certifications like Juniper JNCIP, CCNP, and CISSP.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with Juniper technologies, underscoring the critical importance of extensive Juniper expertise in network engineering and security.
Over 10 years in network engineering with expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, SDWan, and VPNs.
Technical Skills: Proficient in WAN, LAN, WLAN technologies, network security best practices, and network design and management.
Troubleshooting & Tools: Excellent troubleshooting skills and familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, NetBox, and Wireshark.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple projects.
Additional Expertise: Experience with cloud networking, scripting and automation tools, and VoIP/QoS/IP telephony solutions.
Willingness to travel infrequently as required
