Senior Network Engineer

The candidate will join the Network Sustainment project team, focusing on the design, configuration, and deployment of new sites or requirements.
They will work with industry-standard network products, including Cisco, Hewlett Packard (HPE), Palo Alto, Arista, F5, VMware NSX, and Sierra Wireless.
The role includes operational management of Quality of Service (QoS), IP Address Management, Network Routing Protocols (including BGP & EIGRP), Virtual LAN (VLAN), SIP, Voice over IP (VoIP), Videoconferencing, Wi-Fi, Network Load Balancing, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN), Firewall Management, Carrier Services, Secure Internet Gateway (SIG), Network diagnostics and analysis, and supports terrestrial data services, satellite services, 4G/5G and microwave links.
The candidate will be required to undertake operational change management and participate in incident management.
The candidate may also be required to be on call as part of an on-call roster.
This role is crucial to the network project team provided by the Network and Security Services within the Bureau of Meteorology.
