Senior Network Engineer

ResponsibilitiesDesigning and architecting network solutions to meet client requirements.Planning and implementing network infrastructure upgrades and expansions.Configuring and optimizing network protocols, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.Monitoring network performance and availability using network management tools.Identifying and resolving network issues, including connectivity, latency, and bandwidth problems.Implementing and maintaining network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.Installing and configuring network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Performing routine network maintenance tasks, including firmware updates, patch management, and equipment replacement.Planning and executing network infrastructure upgrades to enhance performance and security.Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients for network-related issues.Collaborating with clients to understand their networking needs and translating them into actionable plans.Maintaining accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.Leading and managing network-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network engineering.Monitoring and meeting agreed-upon service-level commitments, as defined in the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Desired Skills and ExperienceESSENTIAL:7 Years+ of IT or equivalent experience - strong background and deep experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure.Proven experience in designing scalable and reliable network architectures that meet client requirements and industry best practices.Knowledge and experience in implementing and supporting solutions in Azure, including Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD and SharePoint.Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, AHV, Hyper-V, and KVM.CCNA, CCNP; NSE4.Strong understanding and hands-on experience with routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and RIP.In-depth knowledge of network security principles and practices, including implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, VPNs, and other security measures.Experience with firewalls – FortiGate; Sophos; WatchGuard; Meraki.Expertise in working with a wide range of network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points. Familiarity with various network technologies, protocols, and standards.
