Australian Citizen with NV1 Clearance The Canberra Secure Operations Centre (CSOC) is a team within the Managed Services Delivery group providing services to Public and Private sector clients that require support of protected Infrastructure, systems, and applications needing security clearance. The CSOC provides Platform, Application, Network, and Security services to clients and internal NTT business units, supporting day-to-day operations, across multivendor hybrid IT environments.
As a Level 3 engineer, you will be responsible for managing WAN, LAN, and Data Centre Routing and Switching, Wireless Networks, Load Balancers, and Firewalls. There is no shift work, but you will take part in the on-call roster on a rotating basis. The team works in a hybrid environment, with 3 days in the office.
Working at NTT Support, maintain and manage the technical aspects of a managed solution.Work independently, with general direction from the client, stakeholders, team lead, or senior manager, to perform operational tasks to resolve all incidents/requests in a timely manner within agreed SLA. Timely and consistent updates of tickets with resolution tasks performed.Proactively identify, investigate, analyze issues and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner. Capture all required and relevant information for immediate resolution.Plan, coordinate and implement complex system changes within client-specified change windows. Liaise with the client, vendors, and other partners to ensure minimal disruption to the client's day-to-day business operations.Monitor performance levels and capacity of supported devices and networks and assist in proper capacity planning and management.Identify recurring issues and initiate problem management.Proactively identify, contribute, implement, and work with automation teams for effort optimization and automating routine tasks.Test new software versions and patches for release suitability and problem resolution.Maintain detailed, accurate technical documentation and operational procedures for supported solutions.Review architecture, design, and as-built documentation and make recommendations for improvements.Assist with project delivery to ensure projects deliver to the stated business benefits. Facilitate operational handover.Assist with onboarding of new clients into Managed Services support.Mentor L1/L2 Engineers offering technical expertise/guidance.Operate within Security and Compliance frameworks.Understand and comply with the requirements of being part of a 24x7 on-call operation.What will make you a good fit for the role? At least 5 years' experience in Routing and Switching (Cisco / HP) and Firewalls (Fortigate).At least 3 years' experience in two or more of the specializations - Wireless (Aruba); Load Balancers (F5); Azure Networking; Fibre Channel Networking; Software Defined Networking.Any of the following are desirable: Automation technologies: Ansible, Jenkins; Scripting: Python; Network Configuration Management: Netbox or Networking Monitoring Tools: Icinga.Managed Services experience.Excellent knowledge and experience in ticketing tools, preferably Service Now.Excellent client service orientation and passion for achieving or exceeding expectations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate and work across different cultures and social groups.Ability to plan activities and projects well in advance and considers possible changing circumstances.Australian Citizen with NV1 ClearanceJoin our growing global team and accelerate your career with us.
