Senior Network and Systems Administrator Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology)Government - Local (Government & Defence) We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and reliable Senior Network and Systems Administrator to join our ICT Operations team.
Reporting to the Manager ICT Operations, you will play an important role in ensuring council's systems are supported by reliable, fit-for-purpose ICT infrastructure.
The Senior Network and Systems Administrator role provides a unique opportunity for an experienced Network and Systems Administrator to transition into a leadership role, while maintaining a hands-on technical presence.
ABOUT YOU You have demonstrated experience administering: Physical, virtual and cloud ICT infrastructure, including servers, storage, hyper-visor, and hyper-converged platforms.
Firewall, network and network services, including SD-WAN, VLANs, 802.1x Authentication, Wi-Fi, and physical infrastructure installations.
Windows standard operating environments, with knowledge across platforms such as Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot etc.
You understand disaster recovery practices and can integrate varying levels of resiliency into ICT infrastructure solutions where high availability is required.
You are well versed in contemporary cyber-security practices, and will work closely with internal stakeholders, and external resources, to ensure councils cyber-security posture is optimised.
You are able to confidently triage and prioritise requests in accordance with organisational requirements.
You will enjoy training, coaching and mentoring team members, playing a key role in the development of the Network and Systems Administrator and other ICT staff.
You will demonstrate and promote councils' values as a leader within the organisation.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and ongoing.
Depending on the skills and experience of the preferred candidate, a base salary between $102,093.90 and $110,514.02 will be offered + a market rate adjustment, 12.5% superannuation and a 19-day month.
