Details of the offer

Senior Naval Architect- Technical Director (Designate)- Kedge Pty Ltd Hobart $130,000 – $160,000 year + super and allowances We are seeking a mid-career Naval Architect to join our busy Hobart practice. We are proudly ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified, and having recently been acquired by a global company, ADEC Innovations, have more and more opportunities coming our way.  The successful candidate will be comfortable in the field, and in the office, and will be able to communicate effectively from tradesperson to CEO level. You will have exceptional computer skills, be highly proficient in the use of industry software packages, and be willing and able to mentor other staff in their use.  There is a real progression opportunity here and we are ideally looking for a person who is working at or who will soon be able to move into our key technical director role.  To be competitive you will have considerable experience of near coastal vessel design, alterations, and operations, and either have or be very quickly able to gain AMSA and MNZ accreditation. You will be completely familiar with vessel stability, structural assessments, the NSCV and Class and Maritime NZ Rules, and be used to working in a quality-managed environment, where a customer's needs are understood and in all cases met. We work mainly in the near-coastal area and are recognised as people who solve problems and achieve results. Our work is interesting and varied and our team of Naval Architects, marine surveyors, engineers, and shipwrights are highly skilled and great to work with. Our work is increasingly focussed on vessel decarbonisation which we view as one of the great NA challenges of our time.  If this resonates with you, this is the place to be and we would love to hear from you. The package offered will depend on your experience and we can assist with relocation for the right candidate.    Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia? How many years' experience do you have as a Naval Architect? Are you willing to relocate for this role? Are you a current member of Engineers Australia? What's your highest level of education?
