Your new role
You will play a pivotal role in key engineering design decisions, review and approval of engineering design packages, mentoring junior Naval Architects, and providing technical guidance on ship build production processes. You will be right across Naval Architecture, engaging in stability, structural analysis, resistance, and powering. You will also lead and contribute to engineering teams through the ship build design process, from requirements definition to test and acceptance phases, alongside other key areas such as design reviews, systems engineering, CAD drawings, customer & stakeholder engagement.
What you'll need to succeed
Must be willing to relocate to Perth, WA
Australian Citizenship is mandatory due to defence industry requirements.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline. Chartership is highly regarded, but not essential.
Significant years of experience operating as a senior naval architect, including leading engineering teams and mentorship.
Strong experience in CAD programs and technical drawing.
Knowledge of marine engineering and design principles, with knowledge of military and government project documentation standards being desirable.
