THE ROLE Applications are sought from experienced Underground Senior Mining Engineers to join the team at Ora Banda at our flagship Riverina UG Mine.
The responsibilities of this role will include: Develop optimum underground development & stope designs, mining methods, equipment requirements and recovery costs Deliver short, medium and long term mine plans, ensuring consistency to maintain continuity of the mine planning process Prepare underground mine development and production schedules Oversee the preparation and optimisation of drill and blast plans Plan and oversee the dewatering system in the mine Monitor day to day mining operations to ensure compliance with agreed plans and quality control standards.
Provide technical input into underground mining process Manage mining activities to ensure production meets short and long term planning targets Ensure production processes comply with site quality control standards Examine mining methods and equipment to improve performance Provide engineering services to the mine manager as required Provide leadership to mining engineers and other technical staff in their day-to-day activities Undertake project work and mine engineering activities as required Coordinate mining engineering activities with production teams, surveyors, geologists, drill and blast and contractor teams ABOUT YOU To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related discipline 7+ years' experience in mining operations Excellent leadership and communication skills Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Skilled in mine planning and scheduling software Current Senior First Aid First Class Mine Managers Certificate Your motivation: We are looking for people who want to make a difference, love to challenge themselves and others to do better and pursue solutions with intent.
