You will be the key liaison between the Technical Services and Underground Mining Operations departments, identifying where plans and actions are diverging and addressing the gaps to maintain the plan.Responsibilities include:Short-term planning, monthly and weekly schedules (co-ordinate inputs, develop plans and monitor variance).Monitoring and Support - stope reconciliations, production analysis and improvement, and management of contractors.Cost management - monitor UG costs and provide input as required for annual budget and forecasts.Coverage of planning, production, and operational roles as requiredLead the identification, reporting and management of potential hazards and work to eliminate risk taking behaviours or actionsMaintain awareness of environmental risks and obligations around the UG mining operations areas to be able to identify at-risk activities where specialist advice may be requiredAbout youTo succeed in the role, you will have:A tertiary qualification in Mining EngineeringWA First Class Managers Certificate of Competency (ideal).5+ years mine engineering experience (planning, scheduling, ventilation, D&B) undergroundCompetent with mine design and scheduling software, Deswik Suites.Leadership experience in providing direction and influencing activities of othersProven ability to identify, understand and solve complex problems.Strong verbal and written skills to communicate numerical and graphical information.A Positive attitude toward safety, increasing safety awareness, ability to implement safety training and set an example for others.You will be either a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday.At Evolution, as our name suggests, change and transformation is in our DNA.
