An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mining Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia.
In this role, you will report to the Alternate Underground Manager and work on an 8:6 roster.
Your focus will be on managing and optimising production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Your primary responsibilities will include:Reviewing and updating mine designs, Plans of Intent, and monthly reports to drive operational success.Developing and overseeing short-term scheduling, including 1-week to 4-week plans, that are aligned with broader production goals.Leading drill-and-blast planning, boxhole planning, and contractor management to support safe and efficient operations.Managing production drill-and-blast designs, ensuring alignment with contractor capabilities and operational requirements.Coordinating daily performance tracking and reconciling outputs against weekly and monthly production forecasts.Collaborating with technical and operational teams, including geologists, engineers, and contractors, to optimise production outcomes.About You
Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in operational mining environments, including expertise in underground mining.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:A tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related field.Completion of underground practical time to undertake the First Class Mine Manager's Certificate (if you do not already hold one).Experience in production teams within an underground mechanised hard rock environment.Proficiency with 3D mining software packages such as Deswik.Current C class driver's licence (manual).About 29Metals and Golden Grove
