Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)The Nathan River Resources mine site is located 50km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria and approximately 760km from Darwin, we are the proud owner and operator of the Roper Bar Iron Ore Mine. We take pride in our in-house mine, marine and trans-shipment division, which manages a fleet of mine and marine assets dedicated to our operations.As a result of the remarkable success of our initial operations, we are now seeking a Senior Mining Engineer.Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:Safety and environmental awareness along with a regard for the value of teamworkManaging Tech Services team on siteOptimization and implementation of the Short & Medium Term Plan to ensure all goals are achievedDaily production data analysis and reporting with a strong focus on Pit to PortPreparation of periodic and monthly reports for managementAnalysis of production information and variance to budget / estimateInput into the short and medium term planning and scheduling processManagement of Drill & Blast contractorPro-active approach to Business Improvement opportunities for NR; andOwnership of BI initiatives as dedicated projects in mine production and drill and blast areas.FIFO Roster Ex Darwin is 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.To be considered for a role it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following skills and experience:recognized qualification in Mining or a related disciplinestrong background in Mine Planning and Drill & Blast in a large-scale open cut environmentstrong interpersonal and organizational skillshighly consultative approach with other departments and disciplinesPrevious drill and blast and dewatering experience will also be advantageous.A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs is essential.Previous experience with mine-planning software including Surpac & Xact would be advantageous.Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a mining engineer?Do you have mine site experience?Do you have open pit mining experience?Are you willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
