Senior Mining Engineer – Short term planning What You'll Be Doing: As the Senior Mining Engineer, you'll report to the Planning Superintendent, leading a dynamic team of engineers to innovate and improve mining operations. You'll have the opportunity to:
Drill & Blast, Truck and Shovel Mine plans.Inspire and lead a team of mining engineers.Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in Mine Planning.Play a critical role in designing LOM & Budget mine plans, ensuring financials and schedules align.Guide the short-term planning team, ensuring the process aligns with strategic goals.Challenge and motivate your team to meet and exceed mine planning objectives.About You: You are a leader who embodies the values of People, Safety, Innovation, Integrity, and Excellence. To excel in this role, you'll need:
A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related field.Proven leadership and experience in open-cut coal mine planning.Exceptional organisational and planning skills.Strong analytical skills.A deep understanding of Australian WHS standards and relevant mining legislation.Expertise in mine planning software like Deswik, Spry, or Vulcan.Strong Stakeholder Management skills.What's in It for You?
