About the Role Tronox is seeking a  Senior Mine Rehabilitation Specialist  to coordinate and oversee the mine rehabilitation planning and outcomes at our Snapper, Gingko, and Atlas Mines in NSW.
This role is essential for ensuring successful rehabilitation in line with Tronox's obligations under the new standard rehabilitation conditions, known as Rehabilitation Reforms.
Location:  Our sites are in rural NSW, approx.
2.5 hours DIDO from Mildura.
Relocation support available for the individual and family to move to Mildura, or ability to FIFO from Sydney with site commute.
Key Responsibilities Rehabilitation Planning : Develop and maintain rehabilitation plans.
Plan Implementation : Ensure Rehabilitation Management Plans (RMPs) are effectively implemented and objectives are met on time.
Contractor Coordination : Manage relationships with rehabilitation service providers to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient services.
System Integration : Establish and maintain systems that integrate rehabilitation efforts with mining operations and Life of Mine (LOM) planning.
Mine Closure Planning : Develop strategies to achieve safe, sustainable, and cost-effective mine closure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Research & Trials : Coordinate research trials and refine rehabilitation criteria based on findings.
Regulatory reports and plans : Compiling and drafting of Reform Regulations reports and Plans Key Performance Areas (KPAs) Project Management : Oversee rehabilitation projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
Compliance & Reporting : Ensure all activities comply with NSW mining legislation and prepare detailed reports.
Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with key stakeholders, including government regulators, to align with rehabilitation goals.
System Integration : Develop and implement systems that integrate rehabilitation with overall mining operations and LOM planning.
Budget and Forecasting : Ensure accurate cost control and forecasting is achieved.
Qualifications Experience in mining rehabilitation and mine closure.
- Essential Knowledge of NSW legislation and statutory rehabilitation regulations.
- Essential Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
- Essential Experience with GIS or mapping software  -Desirable Strong project management skills.
Strong report writing skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
