Senior Mine Planning Engineer Underground

Sydney CBDAbout the CompanyWe are partnering with a global mining company who are a leader in the Australian coal mining sector operating both underground and open cut mines across the country.About the RoleAs a result of an internal promotion, we are actively recruiting for an experienced Mine Planning Engineer with experience in Underground Coal Mining. This role contributes to the company's growth strategy by providing technical support in the implementation and monitoring of the Mine Planning System, Processes and Development. This role also provides support and expertise in technical, operational and financial functions relating to Mining Engineering with respect to site operations, feasibility studies and merger & acquisition activity.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport implementation of the Mine Planning Systems, including Guidelines, Standards, Procedures, Templates and Tools.Assist with the implementation of the Resource Development Plan (RDP) process for each of the operating sites.Assist with the facilitation of the LOM Plan, 5 Year Plan and Annual Operating Plan.Assist the Principal & Chief Engineer with mine planning and technical advice to operating sites.Provide mine modelling support to operations.Assist in conducting brown field and green field feasibility studies.Prepare preliminary and detailed mine designs, methods and mine plans with various mine planning tools.Assist in Coal Reserve estimation, documentation, report reviews.About YouTertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Mining, Geotechnical etc.)Proven expertise in developing and implementing underground mine planning systems and developmentDemonstrated technical ability in strategic underground mine planningHighly developed skills in mine design and schedulingUnderstanding of various mine planning software including their applications and limitations.BenefitsExcellent renumeration packagePerformance related STIPCorporate role based in Sydney CBD offering excellent work-life balanceJob Type:Full-time, PermanentLocation:Sydney, NSWSalary:Competitive salary package & STIPPlease note that applications will only be considered from candidates with the appropriate approval to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.For a confidential discussion about this role, please feel free to contact Sam Silva on 0433 832 614 / ******.
