About the Position We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer to join our team to design, develop, and implement Microsoft Cloud-based solutions that align with our clients' business requirements and follow Microsoft best practices.
The role requires strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner and work closely with internal and customer stakeholders to deliver required project outcomes. The person will act as the subject matter expert across suitable products, providing technical advice within the domain and provide support to Managed Services team where needed.
In this role you will:
• Design and configure Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Entra ID & Conditional Access, SharePoint Online and Teams
• Design and provide consultation in Microsoft Purview, specifically design and configuring Data Classification, Sensitivity Labels and Data Loss Prevention Policies
• Design and implement Security products, including Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel
• Plan, design and implement new Azure Virtual Server environments, including the migration of server infrastructure from On-premise or other cloud providers
• Design and deploy Azure Virtual Desktop with FSLogix
• Plan and complete Microsoft 365 Email and SharePoint migrations
• Assess new and existing customer environments, identifying optimisations in Security and configuration in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
• Engage proactively with the internal project management team and customers and provide professional advice to the wider team on project design
• Provide support to the sales team where specialist technical knowledge is required
• Provide advice in planning, implementation, and growth of clients' Microsoft Cloud footprint.
About You: You will have:
• 5+ years ofproven experience in a technical delivery or consultancyrole working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience and exposure implementing and managing Microsoft Defender and Sentinel technologies, including Defender for Endpoint, Cloud and Office 365.
• Previous experience with config management and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI & ARM Templates)
• Deployment and support of AvePoint solutions, including Policies & Insights, AvePoint Backup and Opus
• Ability to produce high quality as-built documentation and Solution Designs.
• Ability to proactively troubleshoot and provide timely solutions.
• Skill in managing and configuring a variety of systems and ability to use new systems as Entag evolves.
