Employment Type: Temporary Full Time or Part Time (Minimum 3 Days), up to 38 hours per week up until October 2025 Location: SWSLHD District Wide Position Classification: Social Worker Level 3, Occupational Therapist Level 3, Senior Psychologist, Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Remuneration: Dependant on Classification Social Worker Level 3: $54.76 - $56.54 per hour Occupational Therapist Level 3: $54.76 - $56.54 per hour Senior Psychologist: $58.08 - $62.94 per hour Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2: $55.44 - $57.27 per hour Requisition ID: REQ527094 Application Close Date: 27/10/2024 Interview Date Range: 30/10/2024 – 06/11/2024 Contact Details: Natalie Medel – 02 4833 0950 | Natalie.Medelhealth.nsw.gov.au About the Opportunity The Out of Home Care/Whole Family Team is a district wide, Tier 4 specialist Mental Health service, that provides therapeutic interventions for children and young people in out of home care, and, families where a Risk of Significant Harm (ROSH) has been made for one of the children and where there is a mental health and/or drug health issue in one or both of the parents. Specialist, tertiary level assessment and evidence based, family and individual, trauma informed interventions are provided by the multidisciplinary team, as well as high level consultation to DCJ and other relevant key stakeholders where there are significant child protection matters for a family. This is an exciting role that is district wide and based in Ingleburn, which provides outreach/inreach and clinic based appointments, that is targeted at innovative and dedicated senior clinicians who will be working with vulnerable children in out of home care and families where there is a risk of family breakdown due to significant child protection matters on a background of complex mental health/trauma/drug and alcohol issues. There are many opportunities for professional development and group clinical supervision and an expectation that the appropriate applicant will possess knowledge in attachment theory and an ability to provide high quality dual diagnosis interventions for consumers across the lifespan who have drug health and mental health issues. The clinician will have opportunities to participate in research and quality improvement projects and should possess the skills to provide support, training and supervision to less experienced clinicians/students. What You'll be Doing As a senior clinician provide leadership, mentorship and supervision, to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team. Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Additional requirements apply for classifications Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 and Senior Psychologist: A Senior Psychologist must obtain a minimum of 9 years experience working as a Psychologist. Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation. Demonstrated experience providing advanced evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service. Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer's families and natural supports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007. Demonstrated skills in leadership and clinical supervision, within a multi-disciplinary treatment setting. Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process. Ability to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
