Forensic CYMHS provides assessment and treatment services to young people with mental health issues and significant behavioural disturbance that have resulted/or place them at elevated risk of involvement with the criminal justice system. The goals of the Forensic Program are to promote recovery in children and young people with mental health needs and offending behaviours, increase community safety and reduce the risk of offending.Position OverviewThe position of Senior Mental Health Clinician will deliver advanced professional services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to optimize psycho-social outcomes for children and young people who are involved with the justice system, with severe and complex mental health and substance use disorders. Services are provided in a variety of settings, including Children's Courts, Watchhouses, Youth Detention centres, Child and Youth Mental Health Service and Youth Justice Service Centres.
