A Northern TAS hospital requires a Medical Registrar/Hospitals in the Home (HiTH) from 07/10/2024 to 28/02/2025.
07/10/2024 – 20/10/2024
AND
04/11/2024 to 28/02/2025
$1500 per day Monday through Sunday (inclusive of on any call)
Weekends incur the above rate as shifts are on call + 4 hours on site.

HiTH's sole purpose is to provide exceptional hospital level health care and ongoing support to the residents of Northern Tasmania to negate the need for hospitalisation in our mainstream facility and enable patients to remain in their own home and community under the watchful/vigilant eye of a dedicated health team.
- The Senior Medical Registrar will be responsible for working under the direction and supervision of the Medical Specialist to provide medical treatment and care to patients admitted to HiTH, day to day management of private and public patients and participate in patient reviews when clinically appropriate.
- Adhere to professional protocols, policies, clinical pathways and standards.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive medical care plan to patients admitted to HiTH.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and competence in accordance with skills and knowledge when undertaking tasks relating to patient care.
- Provide after-hours cover as directed.
Essential Requirements:
• Current driver's licence
• Advanced Life Support 1
• General registration with the Medical Registration Board of Australia
• Working with Vulnerable People Registration
