If so, we want to hear from you!About the Role:As a Senior Medical Practitioner in Emergency Medicine, you will play a vital role in managing patient care in the Emergency Department at Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network.
Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of medical professionals, nurses, and allied health staff.In this role, you will: Manage the care of patients allocated to you in the Emergency Department, including providing after-hours support for the inpatient medical unit.Participate in a 24-hour, 7-day roster, ensuring continuous care availability.Contribute to ongoing education and training for medical and nursing staff, promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.Lead and support teamwork across departments to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to maintain the highest standards of care.Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our focus on patient-centred care, accountability, evidence-based practice, and ongoing quality improvement.
What You'll Bring: Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.Significant training and/or experience in Emergency Medicine and other relevant acute medical fields.A wealth of clinical experience, particularly in emergency and acute care settings.A commitment to evidence-based practice and a focus on patient benefit.Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
