Full timeJoin the Provider of Healthcare Services to Public Prisons across Victoria.Senior Medical Practitioner at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, located in Ravenhall for a Full Time role.Attractive Base Salary of $360,500.+ $10,000 sign on bonus.+ Relocation opportunity.About the Role:The Senior Medical Practitioner will provide and supervise medical care to prisoners by delivering and evaluating medical programs and medical services required and/or provided. The Senior Medical Practitioner coordinates hours of service and on-call responsibilities in consultation with the Health Services Manager and the Director, Medical Services.Opportunities exist for a Full Time Senior Medical Practitioners at Ravenhall Correctional Centre. Salary package for full-time position is $388,000 (including $27,500 super).Skills and Experience:The ideal candidates will have:Medical practitioner currently registered by the Medical Board of Australia (from 1 July 2010).Fellowship of the FRACGP.Documentary evidence of medical indemnity insurance.A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience.High written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.Demonstrated competence in provision of high-quality care.Willingness to undertake regular professional development relevant to the position.Computer skills relevant to the role.Experience in mental health, drug and alcohol, and emergency care (Desirable).Other Requirements of the Role:Valid Australian driver's licence and the ability to travel between locations.Ability to work within a prison setting, which will involve direct contact with people in prison associated with the delivery of healthcare.Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.About GEO Healthcare:GEO Healthcare employs highly skilled multidisciplinary teams of healthcare practitioners to ensure people in prison can access and receive the healthcare services they need.
