About the opportunity
The Stem Cell Transplant Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is seeking a Senior Hospital Scientist with current experience in quality management systems and advanced knowledge of FACT/JACIE standards, TGA guidelines, and NPACC standards to act as the Quality Manager for cellular therapies in the Sydney Local Health District.
The successful candidate will be expected to fill the role for a period of 8 months to relieve the incumbent.

The position is based in the Haematology Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown, NSW.
The Haematology Department has a long history of performing bone marrow and stem cell transplants and administering other cell therapies including, more recently, CAR-T cell therapies.

The position oversees the quality, accreditation, and operational integrity of cellular therapies of the Sydney Local Health District.
Responsible for the management of scientific, technical, and support staff, all testing and associated activities and logistics for the assigned laboratory.
The position oversees the quality, cost, and operational integrity of the department, regulatory compliance, and accreditation of laboratory services in the department, human resource, business, and resource management.
