Senior Media Specialist EAEs work across all AWS Elemental media products and services and apply their product and domain expertise to key customer projects, during the specification, development, deployment and acceptance phases of projects to deploy enterprise video workflows.
Along with a Media Specialist TAMs, the Media Specialist EAE role assists in driving long-term success for key enterprise accounts.
The EAE develops deep technical knowledge on the operational aspects of customer workflows, providing proactive guidance on best practices to help these customers achieve operational reliability, resiliency, and scalability.
Depending on customer needs, they may work closely with Media Specialist Solutions Architecture or AWS Professional Services teams, with the EAE focusing on operational success.
The EAE becomes a primary technical resource for AWS Support during production operation of these media workflows.
While a Media Specialist EAE is not expected to develop software, a software development background is valuable in helping understand complex customer needs and drive software solutions.
Most importantly, Media Specialist EAEs recognize that long-term customer success depends on proactive domain-focused guidance to ensure customer workflows are deployed following best practices that are associated with on-going support and operations delivered throughout the lifespan of the customer.
As a Sr. Media Specialist EAE, you will:
Act as the primary technical point of contact representing the technical needs of high-value media workflow for key enterprise accountsParticipate in the on-boarding and off-boarding requirements of assigned key customersWork across AWS Elemental products and with AWS Solutions Architects to define detailed customer project requirements and scope feature ticketsInterface with customer project managers and technical owners to understand key technical and operations requirementsCollaborate with Product Managers to define customer technical requirements, helping to advocate for solutions that drive long-term operational successWork with Engineering managers to ensure delivery of product features to meet customer technical requirementsWork closely with product and workflow testing teams at either AWS Elemental HQ or customer locations, to verify technical integration of products into customer workflowsAbility to effectively communicate with technical leads at internally and at key accounts, across, up, and down both organizationsWork with designated support engineers to raise the customer experience bar with 24x7 support, this includes establishing and facilitating customer specific training to ensure the customer support experience is high across the team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline required, or equivalent work experience3+ years experience using the public cloud as a developer, architect, systems engineer, or technical implementer3+ years' experience in systems engineering or technical operations support, with some customer-facing responsibilities3+ years' experience (and demonstrated credibility) working in a technical role within a software engineering-focused business3+ years of experience in video compression, packaging and delivery mechanisms such as HLS, DASH, CMAF, RTMP, UDP, and file based workflowsAbility to travel up to 10%, primarily regionallyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in a 24x7 operational services or support environmentExperience with Amazon Web ServicesAbility to understand and communicate business and technical needsExcellent communication skills including facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolutionExcellent hardware/software problem-solving skills and ability to navigate challenging situations in a professional manner with minimal guidanceAbility to interact with and influence technical personnel at all levelsFamiliarity with one or more Linux-based scripting language (e.g.
Python, Bash, JavaScript, etc.)
