As we expand our presence in Australia, we're looking for a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our National Engineering Team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to major water projects, lead tenders, and drive the growth of ACCIONA Agua's footprint across Australia.
Key Responsibilities Lead Mechanical Tender Preparation:
Take the reins on the mechanical aspects of tender submissions, working closely with Business Development and Technical teams to develop proposals that are competitive, technically sound, and tailored to client needs. Provide Technical Expertise:
Use your knowledge to support tenders with initial designs, cost estimates, and detailed specifications.
Collaborate with teams across disciplines to deliver technically accurate and comprehensive solutions. Drive Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal teams—including Business Development, Project Management, and technical units—to gather essential information, ensuring well-coordinated and complete tender submissions. Conduct Risk Assessments:
Identify potential risks associated with the mechanical components of tenders and suggest mitigation strategies that pave the way for smooth project execution. Oversee Documentation:
Manage the preparation and submission of all necessary mechanical documentation, from technical calculations to procurement specs, ensuring clarity and completeness. Stay Industry-Informed:
Keep up to date with the latest in industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in the water treatment and desalination fields to continuously elevate our tender offerings. Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, with a focus on tendering in water treatment, desalination, or large-scale infrastructure projects Proven skills in mechanical design, procurement, and installation within infrastructure projects Track record of effective collaboration within cross-functional teams (Business Development, Project Management, Technical) Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts with clarity and influence Deep knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly within water treatment and desalination contexts If you are a skilled Mechanical Engineer passionate about delivering exceptional results in tendering and large-scale infrastructure projects, we want to hear from you!
