The Opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Supervisor - Mechanical to join our team at Linley Valley Pork site in Wundowie working a rotating roster and reporting into the Engineering Manager. The Senior Supervisor will be responsible for the site mechanical maintenance teams driving safety, preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs of plant and equipment to manufacturers specifications.
The Senior Supervisor should be looking for opportunities of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) optimisation of staffing levels for teams and areas to maximise efficiencies and minimise over time hours for team members to improve work life balance, while maintaining budget spend.
You will be responsible for: Setting and maintaining high standards of Safety and workmanship.Encouraging the team to look for and discuss CI opportunities.Driving PM's and reporting in MEX.Planning and coordinating afterhours and weekend maintenance.Ensuring work instructions are followed.Issuing JSA and Work Permits.Processing MEX requests, generating, allocating, checking and closing out work orders.Running toolbox meetings as required.Assisting with the day-to-day maintenance as required.Mentoring and training maintenance team members as needed.About you:
• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical Engineering)
• Sound understanding of Lock out Tag out system
• Sound knowledge of SEW drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and food processing
• Experience with MEX would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Advanced Fixed Plant experience
• Experience in Agriculture and/or a food processing environment (would be highly advantageous)
• Technical and analytical ability with excellent time management
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products.
• Demonstrated high level organisational skills including time management, prioritising tasks etc.
• Problem solving skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask are essential.
• Ability to influence and drive change.
• Experience in leading effective teams.
• Forklift licence, working at heights, confined spaces ticket.
