Under the ARRP, Abergeldie will deliver multi-disciplinary packages varying in size and complexity, spread across a large geographical footprint across regional New South Wales and Greater Sydney. The scope is vast and includes, but is not limited to, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical minor capital works and rehabilitation.About the opportunityWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of critical water infrastructure projects across regional NSW and Greater Sydney. You'll be part of a high-performing team tackling complex and technically challenging projects under the WaterNSW Asset Renewal and Replacement Program (ARRP). Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll have the chance to apply your skills in construction project management and commissioning while gaining exposure to diverse, multi-disciplinary works. Day to day you will:Work with the Project Manager to lead and manage project delivery, including planning, programming, and providing technical advice and support to the project team.Oversee construction programming, cost forecasting, and reporting to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.Manage subcontractor selection, coordination, and performance to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and delivery.Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance and control processes.What you'll bring to the teamWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with a proven track record in managing construction projects, commissioning processes, and delivering bulk water infrastructure. Our ideal candidate will have:Experience working on similar Infrastructure projects, ideally with expertise in delivering projects for local water authorities, including minor capital works and rehabilitation projects.Proficient in cost forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to ensure financial targets are achieved.Skilled in developing and overseeing construction programs to meet project objectives.Experience in selecting, coordinating, and managing subcontractors to deliver high-quality outcomes.A commitment to upholding the highest safety standards, ensuring compliance, and fostering a safety-first culture across all project activities.Willingness to travel to regional NSW and work in remote areas as required (LAHA provided).Why you should work with usOur people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure that this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term.
