Due to this, they are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer to join their dynamic and fast-paced team of nuclear specialists.The RoleAs a Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer, the primary purpose of your role will be to assist and support the Design Manager in the delivery of project scope. You will be responsible for drafting technical design documentation, overseeing and supporting the generation of a 3D model and 2D CAD drawings.You will also be responsible for drafting technical queries and change records, updating or providing information to support updating extant documents, and overseeing the conversion of existing design records into a 3D model. Additionally, you will maintain and update the project registers of technical queries, change requests, design review requests, and design review actions.You Will Have the Following Qualifications & ExperienceDemonstrable experience and knowledge of engineering works, e.g. mechanical handling, mechanical or electrical systems/services.Experience of mechanical design, including new or modification to structures and systems.The ability to follow a nuclear safety led engineering process and maintain accurate records and document/drawing revision control.Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar software to oversee and support production of models and drawings of mechanical components with electrical harnesses.Demonstrable communication skills and the ability to host and participate in design meetings across Microsoft teams whilst working remotely and on site.It's Great If You Also Have the FollowingKnowledge of cranes.Experience of the nuclear civil or defence industries.Get in touch nowIf you're seeking a new challenge, where you will be responsible for assisting the design manager in the delivery of all project scope and think you have the required experience and knowledge we are seeking, then apply now to avoid missing out!Millbank Holdings Ltd is an equal opportunities employer and respects diversity.
