We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic water team and lead the mechanical discipline on water projects.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to guide and develop a team while delivering innovative design solutions for water infrastructure projects.
You will contribute to Arup's strategic growth in the water market, particularly in the mechanical space, while taking on leadership responsibilities for complex projects and teams.
The Opportunity Lead the mechanical discipline on water and wastewater treatment projects, from concept design to detailed design.Grow and guide the mechanical engineering team, contributing to their development and success.Represent Arup at internal and external meetings and take a strategic approach to business development, including developing compelling bids that address the needs of water authorities, contractors and other clients.Manage significant projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and with high technical quality.Negotiate with clients and suppliers to ensure favorable terms to deliver project outcomes, managing budgets and resources effectively. Is this role right for you A relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design for water and wastewater infrastructure.Strong leadership skills, with experience in guiding and developing teams in a consulting environment.In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and industry practices, with a focus on water projects.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and client relationships.
