Senior Mechanical Engineer - Power GenerationA fantastic opportunity has risen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Solutions team. Based in Altona, Vic, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of Power Generators and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects while working in collaboration with our sales team!
Energy Solutions supply generator sets for continuous power, prime power, emergency standby power, and mobile applications, as well as efficiency-optimising solutions integrating cogeneration systems and battery energy storage systems.
You'll have a say in specifications and selection of the best suppliers and subcontractors, as well as contribute to the success and growth of our Energy Solutions Team. With your knowledge and background, you'll be able to assist in the delivery of internal training and build fantastic working relationships across various areas of the business including sales, projects, and other engineering teams!
About you: Appropriate Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia).Proficiency in CAD and MS Office with a technical mind to pick up new software quickly.Experience in engineering management and project management.Detailed working knowledge of vast mechanical systems and internal combustion engines, with a basic knowledge in electrical and electronic systems.A strong interest and knowledge in power generation, engines, uninterrupted power supply systems, and battery energy storage systems.The ability to develop, implement, and drive compliance within engineering processes.Effective time management and administrative abilities.Excellent working knowledge of relevant Australian standards.Outstanding problem-solving skills across technical, application, and other issues.Knowledge of MTU products is an absolute bonus.Why join Penske?
