The Organisation SEA Gas brings energy to the community through high-pressure natural gas pipelines supplying gas from South West Victoria to gas-fired power stations, industrial, commercial and residential customers in South Australia and Victoria.
SEA Gas owns and operates 800km of essential gas pipeline infrastructure, including two compressor stations and brings together a team of experienced professionals.
The Opportunity
Based in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, SEA Gas is on the hunt for a dynamic Senior Mechanical Engineer. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this pivotal role will be accountable for engineering work related to Pipeline Systems, with particular focus on Pipeline Facilities.
You will thrive on working in a fast-paced and technically challenging environment and have a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage FEED and estimates of capital and operating costs.
Lead the specification of materials and services related to assets and equipment.
Scope and where required, deliver engineering design in the relevant area of discipline to projects.
Provide engineering support to projects and pipeline operations, as required.
Lead and coordinate Engineering Change Management.
Prepare and review technical reports in accordance with the requirements of standards and legislation.
Conduct Quality Assurance activities including participating in project handover and quality checks in the relevant area of discipline.
Provide engineering support to remote and metropolitan facilities along a pipeline system approximately 800km in length including:
Integrity Management for facilities
Reliability Management Planning
Performance Reporting
Failure Investigations
What We're Looking For:
Proven track record in a similar operational business setting.
Must-have experience in the Oil & Gas sector or Gas Pipeline Industry.
A tertiary degree in Engineering and CPEng.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders.
