About the Role Viterra is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Mechanical Engineer to fill this pivotal role in our Maintenance and Engineering department.
You will work in a team on primarily mechanical projects, from development through to delivery, but also assisting other projects as required.
You will also provide mechanical engineering leadership and input to the business as well as supporting Maintenance, Asset Management and other business groups.
Duties Mobilise project teams, customer teams and allocate tasks.
Manage and escalate risks and issues to ensure corrective action can be taken.
Oversee projects led by direct reports ensuring projects deliver on cost, quality and schedule expectations.
Ensure direct reports are delivering on the objectives of their roles and allocated strategic objectives.
Support projects undertaken by other teams (e.g.
Electrical, Civil/Structural) as directed and required.
Develop and maintain the mechanical engineering in-house standards, design and review functions.
Lead development and design documentation for nominated capital and maintenance projects.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other business groups.
About You Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent (Essential).
Unrestricted C class driver's license.
Five years relevant experience in a similar mechanical engineering role.
Project management skills and experience; training and qualifications preferable.
Proficient in the preparation of contracts, specifications of work and project management documentation.
Experience with bulk material handling and storage preferable.
Experience in engineering design for industrial applications desirable.
Familiar with relevant Australian and International Standards, Codes, Acts and Regulations.
Thorough knowledge and competency in Auto CAD and Inventor (or other BIM) software.
Sound knowledge of and proficiency in technology to support business and delivery of role.
