They own and operate a diverse range of renewable energy infrastructure and gas transmission pipelines; providing a reliable source of energy to residential, commercial and industrial customers across the state.The RoleAs the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and project management expertise for stay in business capital and operational projects as well as develop, implement and manage asset optimisation programs to improve operational efficiency of rotating machines, above-ground pipeline facilities and pipeline assets. You will provide engineering expertise and support to operations teams, assist in resolving complex high-level technical matters, ensure work is completed in line with relevant engineering standards, systems and procedures, and provide leadership to the Mechanical Engineer and maintenance personnel.Qualification, Experience and RequirementsRelevant Engineering degree qualifications: Mechanical, Pipeline, etc.Significant experience working with high pressure pipeline systems, power generation systems or similar heavy industry.Demonstrated significant knowledge of and experience in mechanical engineering and maintenance practices.Expert knowledge of gas transmission systems, gas systems hydraulics, compressor station operation and practices.Knowledge of the energy and pipeline industry Regulations, Codes and Standards.Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in development and monitoring of operational and capital expenditure budgets.Be a natural leader and ability to mentor Engineers and Maintenance staff with passion and drive.Be willing and able to travel regularly to site to assist site personnel and keep detailed understanding of assets.Be located in Adelaide with unrestricted Australian working rights.What you get in returnWhilst having the opportunity to work with one of Australia's leading energy infrastructure companies, there is an attractive salary package plus bonus structure.
