Company Our client is an end to end water treatment solutions provider, operating in the mining & metals, petrochemical, food & beverage and municipal sectors across ANZ and EMEA. They provide a number of services including design & construct, design, construct & operate, consulting and equipment supply to a number of capital projects for Australian customers operating both in Australian and across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Position summary Due to growth, the team have a new opportunity for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the mechanical aspects of design and construction of water / wastewater treatment plants. Your expertise and seniority will help drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in water treatment solutions. This role will be based in Perth; however, consideration will be given to candidates in Adelaide or Sydney. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the process engineering team and engineering manager to ensure that sold projects can be effectively delivered. Develop layout and general arrangement drawings for projects. Prepare comprehensive equipment lists and select appropriate construction materials. Oversee and develop detailed mechanical design drawings, including pipeworks, mechanical systems, and associated components. Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) throughout project execution. Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Prepare concept and detailed designs for industrial water and wastewater treatment plant capital projects. Manage and oversee the fabrication of installation accessories, and supervise installation, commissioning, and integrity testing of projects. Conduct project feasibility assessments and provide technical sales support during the acquisition phase, including developing concept designs and providing budgetary pricing. Supervise the installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of membrane systems. Ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other plant systems, such as electrical and control systems. Offer technical and commercial advice to clients to assist in the investigation, approval, procurement, operation, and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure.
