Our Australian team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Newcastle office.
About the RoleBe a project lead and/or key contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies with opportunity to lead projects.
Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.Prepare equipment procurement packages, designs, drawings, specifications, datasheets, calculations, and cost estimates for studies and projects.Develop networks and relationships within teams, across the organisation and with clients.Assist with the preparation of proposals and tenders (such as estimating design hours).Be self-sufficient with ability to monitor and manage workload and escalate where appropriate.Support the development of our junior engineers within the team including project leadership and guidance.About YouTertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Charter Engineer accreditation (CPEng or equivalent) or ability to achieve.
Experience in engineering consulting and/or EPC/EPCM projects preferably in the mining and resources sectors.
Technical experience in materials handling, hydraulic design (pumps and pipes), and/or process plant design.
Design experience using S3D, HELIX, Rocky, Autopipe, PSFF, Hammer etc. highly regarded.
Project and/or site experience highly regarded.
Sound understanding of current codes and standards including Australian and ASME.
