The Senior Mechanical Designer will be responsible for providing engineering design management and project leadership.
You will have the ability to provide high-level technical input within the design team, undertake technical reviews of deliverables, attend and participate in project and client meetings, contribute to marketing opportunities for new business, project manage design and/or construction projects in accordance with Jacobs systems and processes, ensure compliance with all requirements of the design quality system, work with Sales and relevant Section Leaders to implement Jacobs Client Relationship Strategy, maintain and build on existing client relationships, and support and promote a strong service delivery to internal and external clients.
You will be required to balance resource requirements to meet pipeline expectations, collaborate with Team and Section leaders, identify and communicate resource availability/constraints, and participate and promote resource sharing opportunities.
Support Project Managers to manage operational risk, delivery HSE and quality, identify and address issues that would impact desired project outcomes, and provide progress information to allow accurate reporting of progress.
You will support your PU to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships to maximize the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.
Here's what you'll need
Your Expertise: Relevant tertiary mechanical qualifications.Ideally, you will have experience within water and/or wastewater treatment and/or conveyance infrastructure.Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and maintenance practices.Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.Outstanding communication and report writing abilities.Team player capable of mentoring junior team members.What Jacobs Can Offer You Jacobs.
