Senior Mechanic

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanic to join the team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of technicians, ensuring the highest standards of service and safety are met while maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and service a variety of vehicles, including light vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and specialised equipment.
Lead and mentor a team of mechanics, providing guidance and training as needed.
Conduct thorough inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with industry regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed.
Liaise with customers to explain repair needs and provide cost estimates.
Manage parts inventory and ensure the workshop is equipped with necessary tools and equipment.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.

About You

Qualifications: Trade qualification as a Mechanic (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on a wide range of vehicles. Leadership experience is essential.
Licenses: Valid driver's license. Heavy Vehicle license is an advantage.
Attributes: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
