We're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to be the first dedicated full-time marketer in Australia for Yoto.
You will lead the marketing strategy for Australia (and dabble with other APAC markets) driving brand awareness, engagement, and market share growth.
We would prefer to consider candidates who are based in Sydney or within commutable distance to Sydney.About YotoYoto is a screen-free interactive audio platform for kids.
We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads.
We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels - think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music.
We also create Yoto Originals.We're on a mission to be the soundtrack of childhood and help families on their own unique adventures.
By creating products that inspire independent play, we help families discover and grow with an inspiring world of audio - and we would like you to help us achieve it!Yoto's Marketing & Creative TeamWe're a global team looking after brand and product marketing, acquisition and retention marketing, communications and creative, with multi-disciplinary marketing teams in key regions – the USA, UK and France.
This role will be the first full-time marketer to sit within the APAC region.
We work closely with teams across the business, particularly our friends in the commercial, product, tech and content teams.The Australian marketing team will be focused on increasing awareness and consideration of our brand and products, while collaborating closely with the commercial team to achieve strong, profitable growth.What you'll be doing:Be the sole marketer on the ground, but working with global teams in London, with a laser focus on growing the Australian market.Own the Australian marketing plan including budgets, aligning with overall business objectives.Build and maintain a consistent brand presence and voice.Create and oversee engaging marketing campaigns that increase awareness and consideration among our target audience.Work with in-house team and external agencies to plan and execute effective paid media strategies across multiple channels.Manage the PR agency, ensuring output remains consistent and high quality across press, broadcast and influencer.Develop, maintain and activate partnerships with brands and other organisations.Partner with the commercial team to align marketing initiatives with commercial targets.Work with the retention marketing team to develop ongoing customer communications to drive active rates and LTV.Measure campaign performance, report on ROI, and optimize initiatives based on insights.Work as required on additional APAC markets.Be the voice of the region, ensuring updates are effectively communicated internally, and occasionally meet with our content and retail partners.What you'll bring:Proven track record in a senior marketing role, with experience working in the Australian market.Ability to thrive working autonomously, and with colleagues across different timezones.Demonstrable success in creating and executing campaigns that drive brand growth and profitability.Experience in a commercial environment, with strong collaboration across marketing and commercial teams.Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.Expertise in planning and managing digital and traditional paid marketing channels.Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Exceptional leadership and team management skills.Comfortable with the ambiguity of working in a fast-paced scale-up environment.Nice to haves:Experience working with global entertainment rights holders.Experience working in the family/kids space.Salary: AU$130,000 - AU$150,000 based on experience.What you can expect from Yoto:Flexibility: Sydney based - hybrid working.
This role will initially be remote, but the longer-term expectation will be office presence on average once a week.Financial: 11.5% Superannuation, Group Life & Disability policy - AU$50k with Allianz.Health & Wellness: Bronze cover (single) with Allianz.Time Off: Four weeks (20 days) of holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
You also receive your birthday off, plus 1 extra day of holiday for every year worked after you hit your 2 year anniversary, up to 5 extra days.
