As we embark on delivering key organisational initiatives, we are expanding our Marketing and Communications team!
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to join our Marketing and Communications team.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will develop and implement marketing and communication campaigns, content and engagement activities to increase the profile of GMR.
About the Person • A tertiary degree (Bachelor level) in marketing, PR or communication or industry experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience coordinating and developing marketing and communications material and activities for a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong, demonstrable experience writing, editing and proof reading for a broad range of channels, publications and audiences
• Experience developing content (written and visual) for print and digital channels, and producing high-quality, targeted and engaging publications
• Demonstrated experience in managing websites (WordPress would be beneficial) and social media
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with media, and in securing proactive coverage in print, broadcast and digital media
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external), and work collaboratively to deliver results
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Outstanding communication skills—written, verbal and active listening
• Self-starter, high level of initiative, proven proactive thinker
• Previous experience in a not-for-profit, research or health related organisation (desirable)
