Analysis & Reporting (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time Add expected salary to your profile for insights The Role This is a great opportunity to be part of the world's largest bulk export port authority as a Senior Market Analyst.
You will be responsible for the formulation, development and delivery of market intelligence for Pilbara Ports.
This will include the analysis and interpretation of trade as well as port performance.
You will assist in driving market intelligence across the business.
This is a newly created role for Pilbara Ports where you will work closely with the Strategy Manager.
Key aspects of your Senior Market Analyst role will include: Identifying, monitoring and analysing environmental scanning metrics that may impact the Ports and its operations to provide useful insights.
Translating insights and analysis into actionable strategies.
Undertaking high quality trade forecasting, analysis and interpretation to enable well-informed decisions and improved performance.
Conducting research and evaluating planned customer project viability.
Researching supply chains of new commodities and requirements to facilitate these businesses.
Developing advanced economic models for existing and future commodities for Ports.
About You This role is ideally suited to an accomplished market and trade analyst with demonstrated experience in domestic and global trade and resources markets and/or port business.
Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce or a related degree are a requirement.
You will have strong research skills with a high level of analytical and conceptual thinking to interpret future trends and their implications for the organisation.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be at a high level, allowing you to build productive relationships both internally and with outside stakeholders.
