As a Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor, you will provide high-level training in navigation and tactical operations to the Royal Australian Navy's Maritime Warfare Officers.
This role involves teaching in a combination of classroom education, advanced bridge simulators and occasional sea training periods ensuring Officers are prepared to contribute to operations effectively.
Responsibilities include: Delivering specialist navigation and warfare trainingExtensive training using simulationSupporting courses through programming, briefings, and examination activitiesContributing to the course review and development processesMaintaining expertise in navigation and warfare tactics and systemsProviding training outside regular hours on a shift roster About You You are a motivated, resilient and focussed professional who prides yourself on the ability to deliver training to the next generation of Navy Officers.

To be successful in this role, you will have: The ability to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1 or higherMinimum of 18 months experience as the Navigating Officer or Principal Warfare Officer on a RAN Frigate or Destroyer, within the last 5 years, or Commonwealth equivalentExcellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure
