The OpportunityWe have a great opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our high-performing and innovative R&D Team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Process Design and Technology, you will be a motivated, agile, performance-driven individual to lead the modelling, simulation, and advanced fabrication to create new products across many processes.
What you'll doLead Design Technology projects from concept to commissioningDrive Innovation of existing processes and operations in our manufacturing plantsDemonstrate sound problem-solving ability and hands-on approach to develop fundamental process knowledgeDevelop structures and mechanisms to solve customer challenges, and see these elements through build, testing, integration, and operationCollaborate effectively with manufacturing personnel, vendors, and suppliers to build an understanding of opportunity areas to help drive insights to accelerate projectsApply highly specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices specifically to lead the creation and development of new machinery designs from prototype to production considering application, cost, performance, reliability, durability, manufacturing, assembly and serviceabilityUse experience with component selection in working directly with suppliers to ensure their parts meet system requirementsLead and provide on-the-floor analytical decisions based on the immediate outcomes of the trial and prepare reports for the final trial outcomes What you'll bringPreferred 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent in a design and engineering environmentExperience in Manufacturing improvement and implementation projectBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplineFibre Cement and/or Materials Engineering knowledge beneficialDemonstrated experience in process design, operation, commissioning and installation of process equipment including pilot lines Working @ James HardieAt James Hardie, our people are at the centre of everything we do.
