About the Role As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Quad Lock, you'll play a key role within the Product Team, by overseeing the manufacturing inputs to Quad Lock's manufacturing process and products. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while staying within budget and meeting project timelines. Your contributions will be key to driving the smooth operation of all aspects of manufacturing and achieving broader business goals.
Please note, this role is an 18-month fixed term contract. What You'll Do ? Support product development by assisting in all aspects of manufacturing and engineering aspects such as DFM/A, design reviews, tolerance analysis, material selection, and defining IPQC requirements are met.Drive supplier management in regards to external DFM/A, Tool Design reviews, Tooling strategy, production planning, etc.Review part and assembly drawings, ensuring they meet manufacturability and QA standards; assist in drawing creation as needed.Actively participate in DFMEA and PFMEA processes.Collaborate with QA team in Shenzhen to assist in driving statistical analysis (Cpk) for FAI, to qualify tooling and off tool parts (OTS).Undertake BOM costing, tooling lead times and production scheduling negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost and delivery targets.Undertake design tasks to support Continuous Improvement (CI) Projects, Product Improvements as well as ECR/ECO actions.Lead root cause analysis for product and process issues, collaborating with suppliers and the QA team.Interpret data from the CX team to develop and maintain product failure rates, using this information to evaluate product designs and implement design/process improvements.Support Logistics and Ops team in situations of production issues for business as usual projects.Document Control - BOM control, DFMs, Tool design, MFG records of released CAD, etc.Actively participate in knowledge sharing/mentoring for the Mfg & Eng team.Occasional travel (domestic and international) as required.What You'll Bring Extensive experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the Plastic Injection Moulding Industry (Tier 1 automotive supplier experience is advantageous).Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical or Manufacturing.Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.Experience with ISO 9001-2015, with preferred internal auditing experience.Proficient in Solidworks and FEA methodologies.Can-Do attitude.Consideration will be given to candidates from a trade background with extensive experience working as a Quality or Manufacturing Engineer.What it's like to work at Quad Lock At Quad Lock our customers mean the world to us but so does our team, by joining us you'll be able to take advantage of the amazing perks we have on offer:
