The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager from public practice to elevate our business and Services Team to new heights. You will be joining a passionate and dynamic team with a proven track record of delivering exceptional professional services to SMEs across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for: Ensuring clients receive a consistently outstanding service, aligned with Retinue's values and vision for excellence.Overseeing the quality, timeliness, and regulatory compliance of work, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism at Retinue.Supporting the achievement of SLAs and Quality Assurance targets, ensuring processes are streamlined and outcomes exceed expectations.Leading capacity planning, forecasting, reporting, and budgeting within the Accounting and Tax departments, creating a clear pathway for growth.Building, empowering, and mentoring high-performing teams, ensuring each team member has the skills, support, and resources to thrive and deliver exceptional results.Championing a positive team culture that fosters collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. Requirements 5+ years of experience in public practice with a proven track record in a leadership or management role within a similar environment.CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent) with deep technical expertise in accounting and tax, backed by a passion for continuous learning and growth.Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the business landscape, with the ability to turn complex financial information into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.A forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to measure, evaluate, and refine processes—particularly in areas such as training effectiveness, team development, and service delivery.A natural ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences, fostering understanding and ensuring clear, accessible communication across teams and clients.Highly organised, with a talent for managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality outcomes.Proactive, results-driven with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to take ownership and lead initiatives that have a measurable impact on the business.A collaborative and supportive team player, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is committed to building a positive and inclusive team culture.
