Your new role:
As the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations you will proactively drive supply chain operations, including purchasing, order fulfillment, inventory, logistics, and freight for diverse product portfolios. You will empower the performance of the supply chain, ensuring it meets organisational and compliance requirements. You will also emphasise continuous improvement initiatives and directly supervise Demand Planning, Purchasing and Inventory managers.
You will undertake a variety of activities including but not limited to:
Developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of supplies to various departments and units within hospital sites across Local Health networks. Conducting regular audits and assessments of supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the storage, handling, and transportation of medical supplies. Monitoring inventory levels and analysing usage patterns to forecast future supply needs and prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Driving strategic planning initiatives to align supply chain activities with organisational goals and objectives. About you:
As the successful Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations you will champion the values of trust and cooperation and approach the role with a strategic and analytical mindset. You will be proactive in making sound decisions that consider organisational needs and evaluate risks.
You will possess the following:
Extensive experience in supply chain management with an emphasis on procurement and continuous improvement. Demonstrated experience in high volume, computerised distribution centres, warehouse operations, and logistics. Extensive knowledge of the regulations and standards governing the healthcare industry, including those related to storage, transportation, and handling of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. Demonstrated capability to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimise operational efficiency and performance. Proven ability to manage change in a complex and demanding operational environment.
