Job ExpectationsWe have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Senior Manager Security Governance reporting to Executive Manager Security Strategy & Governance.
The Senior Manager Security Governance role is an Individual contributor role focused on providing centralized governance for nbn's security program, ensuring alignment with obligations and strategic goals. It involves developing and maintaining a governance framework including processes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and monitoring performance measures. Responsibilities include regular governance reporting, tracking of security initiatives across nbn and managing the Security Strategy implementation plan. The role also entails building productive relationships with stakeholders, governing Internal Audit Management Actions, and supporting senior leadership with reports and committee papers.
A bit about youThe ideal candidate will already be at a managerial level with strong years of experience in security, particularly in governance or compliance roles, and be adept at managing competing priorities in fast-paced environments. They must excel in stakeholder management, executive-level reporting, and translating technical concepts into business language.
Key skills include strong business acumen, effective communication, and the ability to build relationships with diverse personalities. Additionally, they should have experience in project management, process engineering, and developing governance frameworks, with a continuous improvement mindset and excellent time management and organizational skills.
Governance related certifications (e.g Governance Institute, AICD) and/or Information Security industry related certifications (e.g Security+, CISM) are beneficial.
